Are you that ? The fallacy of language

People often make statements like ” I am depressed”.
Analyzing this statement, one can infer that the individual exists not, it is only depression that exists.
Extending the same inference, people should make a statement like ” I am happiness” when they are feeling elated or happy… Do they?
Rather they make a statement like I am feeling happy. This statement infers that the individual exists and happiness too exists as a part, as an emotion, as a separate entity, as something smaller…
However when the emotion under consideration is unpleasant, the language pattern used is quite often exactly the opposite like “I am depressed”. The emotion has displaced their name, their identity as well.
Try changing this language pattern and note the difference it evokes
From I am depressed to I am feeling depressed
